Costs of Participating
Program fees vary by track and are designed to reflect the distinctive experiences offered within each program, from business experiential learning and professional mentorship to hands-on learning in Providence College’s state-of-the-art nursing simulation labs.
All fees include housing, meals, academic programming, excursions, materials, and designated airport shuttle transportation. For those traveling by airplane to participate, travel scholarship assistance is available to help defray the costs of tickets. Summer 2027 fees will be released when applications go live in Fall 2026.

Live on Campus
Participants will experience the full on-campus experience in one of our premiere suites-style residence halls. Separated by gender, students will have overnight supervision by a professional staff hall director, undergraduate resident assistants, and professional security care. While linens will be covered, participants will be expected to bring toiletries and any other essentials they might need.
Meals
Most meals will take place in Raymond Hall Cafeteria (known on campus as ‘Ray’), PC’s primary dining facility for undergraduate students. Ray offers global meal choices paired with sensitivity to all food allergies. Participants will also sample classic Rhode Island dishes while exploring the region on excursions.

Program Leaders
The Pre-College Summer Program is operated by full-time Providence College staff members and dedicated undergraduates who have been hired specifically to chaperone. Participants will be chaperoned by full-time staff and undergraduate students at all times.
Important to the experience is exposure to a wide-array of PC community members. Participants will meet with administrators, faculty members, and Dominican friars who will impart guidance, wisdom, and transformative learning opportunities.

Eligibility
Providence College Pre-College Programs are open to high school students 15 years of age and older. The Business and Nursing tracks are aimed for rising high school seniors, but rising junior applicants will be considered. Participants must be able to engage respectfully in a residential college environment and fully participate in scheduled program activities.
Attendance & Participation
The Pre-College Programs are immersive residential experiences. Participants are expected to attend all academic sessions, workshops, community activities, excursions, and evening programs unless excused by program staff.
Residential Life & Supervision
Participants reside in Providence College residence halls and are supervised by trained student leaders and professional staff throughout the duration of the program.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, students must comply with residence hall policies, curfews, sign-in procedures, and staff directives.
Code of Conduct
Providence College seeks to cultivate a community rooted in respect, responsibility, and integrity. Participants are expected to:
– Treat fellow students, staff, faculty, and guests with respect.
– Contribute positively to the program community.
– Respect College property and facilities.
– Follow all College policies and program expectations.
– Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values of Providence College.
Behavior that compromises the safety, dignity, or well-being of others may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
Health & Medical Information
All participants must complete required health and emergency contact forms before arrival.
Participants who require prescription medications, accommodations, dietary adjustments, or other support services should notify program staff during the registration process so appropriate arrangements can be made whenever possible.
Transportation
Program fees include designated shuttle transportation to and from T.F. Green International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport at published arrival and departure times.
Participants arriving outside of scheduled transportation windows may be responsible for arranging their own transportation.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Participants who withdraw before the program start date may be eligible for a partial refund based on the published cancellation schedule.
Once the program has begun, refunds cannot be provided for voluntary withdrawal, dismissal, illness, travel disruptions, or unused portions of the program.

Applications for Summer 2027 will open in Fall 2026.
From July 11-15, 2027, students from across the country will gather at Providence College to participate in one of three distinctive Discover Providence Pre-College Program residential experiences: College Immersion, Business, and Nursing.
Whether exploring academic interests, discerning the college search process, developing business skills, or experiencing healthcare firsthand, participants will spend nearly a week living on campus, engaging with faculty and student mentors, and discovering what makes Providence College unique.
Application requirements, scholarship opportunities, and enrollment details will be posted when the application becomes available. We encourage students and families to explore the program tracks and begin considering which experience best aligns with their interests and aspirations.
