Integrate

At Providence College, we believe faith is deeply connected to the realities of daily life, relationships, studies, and work. Whether through small-group Peer Ministry gatherings or conversations about faith and the workplace, community members are invited to explore how faith can engage and sustain one’s life and work on campus. These programs offer spaces where reflection meets real life and where the Catholic and Dominican intellectual tradition is engaged through teaching, research, and service.

Peer Ministry

College and faith are both gifts, and they are both a journey. Peer Ministry offers Providence College students — travelers on a journey — fellowship, guidance, and support along the way.

Peer Ministry is a student-to-student ministry focused on prayer, reflection, and authentic Christian community. Participants join a small group of fellow students who meet every other week to discuss the joys and challenges of their college experiences and faith.

Faith and Business

Students are encouraged to integrate their faith with their professional aspirations. Catholics in the Marketplace is an opportunity for students, faculty, and friars to engage in meaningful discussions about navigating the complexities of the modern workplace through the lens of Catholic social teaching. This initiative fosters a community where future professionals can explore the connections between their faith and career goals.

Mission Collaborative

The Mission Collaborative brings faculty and staff colleagues together to explore about what makes Providence College distinctive: our Catholic and Dominican mission. We meet in small groups, read key texts, and share insights about how this mission speaks to our work and community life.

We offer a program each semester. The fall program is designed for faculty and staff who are newer to the college and want a grounding in the mission. The spring program turns to special topics for anyone on campus who wants to go deeper.

Veritas Roundtable

The Veritas Roundtable is launching in Fall 2025, supported by a grant from the Lilly Network of Church-Related Colleges and Universities. This new initiative offers PC faculty a compelling opportunity to explore how their academic training and work connects to the broader mission of a Catholic college and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Through papers, interdisciplinary discussions, and critical reflections, faculty members will delve into themes that integrate their academic expertise with the broader dialogue of faith and reason characteristic of Catholic education.
