Campus Ministry at Providence College is excited to partner with the Luminaries of Holy Mary for a pilgrimage to Fatima!
Dates: May 20-June 1, 2026
Location: Fatima, Coimbra, Ourem, Lisbon, Compostela, and more throughout Portugal and Spain!
Cost: $2250* – based on double-occupancy; includes hotels, meals, tours, etc.; does not include airfare

Join Providence College chaplains, friars, and Campus Ministry staff for a pilgrimage in the footsteps of Our Lady. In 1917, Mary appeared to three shepherd children in a small village in Portugal. She shared a message of conversion and an invitation to pray for the world experiencing the tumult of war. During the last of several apparitions, the community of Fatima witnessed the Miracle of the Sun, a sign that her message was from God.
During our pilgrimage, we will be visiting the sites where Our Lady of Fatima appeared and where the miracle took place. We will also travel to other important sites, including Coimbra, where Sr. Lucia (a witness of the apparitions) spent the later years of her life, Santarem, the site of a Eucharistic miracle, and Santiago de Compostela, the site of the tomb of the apostle St. James.
