Serve
Jesus commands: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ (Mark 12: 31).
Campus Ministry coordinates local and global opportunities for students to serve and accompany their neighbors, especially those who suffer from poverty and marginalization. These opportunities span from a pre-orientation service program for incoming first year students called FaithWorks, to local partnerships with nonprofits and global service immersion trips over breaks in the academic year.
FaithWorks
A pre-orientation service-immersion program for incoming first-year students at Providence College, over the course of several days in August participants serve with local faith-based organizations, reflect on the meaning of their work, and build friendships rooted in faith and service. Open to students of all backgrounds, FaithWorks offers a powerful introduction to life at PC through service, spiritual reflection, and community. Service-Immersion Opportunities
Campus Ministry’s service immersion trips invite students to spend academic breaks engaging with communities across the U.S. and abroad. These experiences combine hands-on service with deep reflection on faith, justice, and Catholic social teaching. Students travel in small groups alongside peers, chaplains, and campus ministers, building lasting relationships and gaining new perspectives.
